The appliance
A compact concept for a serious outdoor environment.
The current enclosure concept houses the DroneDingo receiver and local application in a secure, purpose-focused unit. The final enclosure, mounting options and production details are still being determined, and the concept image will be replaced when hardware selection is final.
The intent is simple: dependable placement, a clear view of the radio environment and serviceability over the life of the product.
The live experience

See active identified aircraft and suspected activity in a live interface designed for quick reading. Select a contact to inspect available identity, flight, signal and operator information. Open the sighting log to review earlier events and identify recurring activity.
Open the console from your home computer, tablet or mobile device using its ordinary web browser. When the device is connected to the same local network as DroneDingo, no internet connection or cloud login is required.
Clear labels preserve the difference between what is known, what is estimated and what remains uncertain.

- No ongoing subscription fees: core monitoring, console access, live view and local history remain available without a monthly software charge.
- Offline maps included: retain a useful mapped property view without relying on an online mapping service.
- Offline when required: detection, the local console, maps and sighting history operate without an internet connection.
- Internet for alerts: connectivity is required to deliver remote alert notifications.
- Minimum necessary sharing: only the information required to deliver an alert is shared; the full local record is not uploaded.
- No proprietary viewing app: use a modern browser on a computer, tablet or mobile device connected to the property network.
Coverage that is explained honestly
Plan in kilometres—but account for the property.
A well-positioned unit may provide an estimated 1–3 km clear line-of-sight range. That is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed circular boundary. Hills, tree lines, metal sheds, antenna height, the aircraft itself and local radio conditions can all change real-world performance.
DroneDingo will present coverage as a site-dependent result and refine published expectations through Australian field experience.
